Connect MCP
Point a compatible MCP client at the hosted endpoint (OAuth) or run the local stdio package with an API Access key.
Hosted OAuth (recommended)
Add the remote MCP URL with no API key in the client config. Compatible clients discover
OAuth protected-resource metadata and complete authorization code + PKCE against
mcp.audiodelivery.net.
Set the Streamable HTTP URL to
https://mcp.audiodelivery.net/mcp.When the client connects, sign in at account.audiodeliverynetwork.com, pick an organization, and Allow.
Consent mints a revocable API Access key labeled
MCP · …under Settings → API Keys. Delete that key to disconnect.
{
"mcpServers": {
"audiodn": {
"url": "https://mcp.audiodelivery.net/mcp"
}
}
} Hosted tools always require auth
Unauthenticated requests to /mcp return 401 with a
WWW-Authenticate challenge. Knowledge and live tools (including deletes) require
OAuth or a legacy API key on the hosted endpoint.
Discovery endpoints on the MCP host include
/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource and
/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server. The authorization scope is
account. Clients that support Dynamic Client Registration use
POST /register on the same host.
Legacy hosted API key
Configs that still send an API Access key continue to work:
Authorization: Bearer adn_...
# or
X-ADN-API-Key: adn_... Local stdio
Run npx -y @audiodn/mcp. Knowledge tools work with no key. For live API tools, set a
server-side API Access key from the dashboard (Settings → API Keys).
| Variable | Required | Default | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
ADN_API_KEY | No | — | API Access key for live-API tools |
ADN_API_BASE_URL | No | https://api.audiodelivery.net | Override the API host |
ADN_MCP_LIVE_DOCS | No | off | Set to 1 to refresh bundled docs from the public site at startup |
ADN_MCP_TIMEOUT_MS | No | 30000 | Per-request timeout in milliseconds |
